Sex. There. I said it. I can’t think of a topic more people want to talk about and more people want to avoid. If you’re neurodiverse, sexual relations come with more than the usual baggage. Bipolar disorder can have you swinging between way too much and none at all. Depressed? You’re probably staying in bed for the wrong reason. Anxiety? Sex is already a bundle of anxious. ADHD’s impulsivity frequently leads to poor judgement calls, something you really want to avoid in sexual activity.
As I am the only Crazy Good Parent who heeded my call for souls brave talk about sex, I’ll be posting on Tuesday. It’s not too late for Thursday, though. Got something to say about sex? Let me know!
