They are coming, whether you love them or not: the BIG HOLIDAYS. At least here in the US, November and December offer ample opportunity to fall off whatever your particular recovery wagon may be. Between the stress of family gatherings and the temptations of holiday celebrations, navigating the waters between Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s Eve is particularly difficult for parents with mental disorders and other neurodiversities.
Crazy Good Parent is looking for your stories on coping with holiday stresses. Have the holidays ever brought your issues to a head? Do you have reliable ways of coping with the stress? Let us know how you stay sane–or not–during the holidays. Either drop a note through the Share Your Story tab, or send us an email at crazygoodparent@comcast.net.
