Four (and more) Last-Minute Halloween Costumes That Won’t Make You Crazier

Even if you’re the Martha Stewart of your neighborhood, sometimes the costume planning slips through the cracks. But you don’t need to let last-minute costume creation make you crazier. I’ve already combed Pinterest for some fast, easy costumes. Note: no Asylum Escapees, Mad Scientists or Crazy Cat Ladies allowed.

Spider

A bag of black socks and some fiberfill from the dollar store and you’ve got the makings of a big black spider.

Bag of Jelly beans

You need a clear plastic trash bag and a bag of colorful balloons. Oh, and maybe an air pump.

JellyBellies

Static Cling Monster

This could be my favorite and the easiest of all. All you need is laundry, preferably clean, and maybe a used dryer sheet or two. Probably best for the little ones, who will look adorable with a sock stuck to their heads.

Raining Cats and Dogs

Attach stuffed dogs and cats to an umbrella. You’re done. This is a great idea for Chicago, where it’s likely to be rainy and cold tomorrow.
